Talks to control car speed happened more than a year and a half ago, but nothing has been done. When will changes be made to slow down traffic on Broad Street? Every hour cars race by. Even a SLOW sign or some traffic cones on the street would make a difference, but nothing's been done. Is this issue being ignored?

Yes. No communication or follow up is the norm for our City Counsel and Mayor’s office. They pretend to be concerned, feign interest to appear responsive / then disappear. When someone gets seriously injured or dies is the time they will respond with action.

The Traffic and Parking Department has received an application for Neighborhood Traffic Calming on Broad Street. We are reviewing the applications for the program to determine what projects will be funded this summer.

Funded? We fund the police with our taxes what about some meaningful enforcement. Why are all quality of life and safety issues dependent on grants? We pay tons of taxes and is it too much to ask that we be able to safely cross the street?

The comment re: funding was related to the request for a traffic calming intervention at this location. We've submitted a request to the Police Department Traffic Unit for targeted enforcement in this location as well.
