This area was cleaned up by a neighbor who paid for labor and dumping...and just a few weeks later... here we go again. There are three people living quietly in tents under the bridge. This is not their doing. People are coming and dumping in this spot . We are trying to improve the neighborhood. The illegal dumping under the bridge must stop.

The 14th Avenue underpass between E. 33rd Street and MacArthur Blvd. is a CONSTANT dumping site and graffiti site. The current City of Oakland administration is asleep a the wheel. WAKE UP.

Lots of assorted garbage in addition to the mattresses . There is also a bus stop under the bridge, plus two nice apartment buildings right on the corner . This debris should not be allowed to pile up in this area. Is it getting to be known as an easy place to get rid of junk ? Volunteers cleared it last time but with this much stuff and large items like mattresses and furniture, it needs a city intervention.

install cameras, and catch the offenders, it's generally the illegal hauling and dumping businesses that do this. you get what you pay for...except in oakland, ca taxes, you keep paying, and get nothing in return.

Cameras are a good idea. The videos will document license plates and driver/dumper. Let the illegal dumpers pay for clean up and a hefty fine. The fine should be raised in Oakland to $10,000 like in San Jose.

They capped the fines to $1000...To protect criminals. that's what City of Oakland likes to do

That is soooo true. The Public Works Street Sign Department should add the following to every "Entering Oakland" sign. "SCOFFLAWS WELCOME".

They already do that with the street signs on E12th Median illegal encampment...they used the traffic sign as a foundation post and built their tent around it...NO PROBLEM. RATS, COCKROACHES, DRUGS, PROSlTUlTS, CRIMINALS, FIRES, NO PROBLEM! COME, and GET FREE STUFF and MONEY!
