Notified About

  • 6415-6499 Christie Ave Emeryville, CA, 94608, USA - Emeryville
In the morning hours between 5-7am, some very large crows are making a lot of noise. Even with double pane windows, we can hear them. In the evening, a large number of them, are constantly in the area. This is a residential area. Can the city remove their nest and use other tools remove them from the area, e.g. reflective mylar tape (without creating another nuisance for residents in the area)?

Illegal dumping of trash has now escalated to illegal dumping of toxic materials (i.e. batteries). I have reported this issue SeeClickFix and to the Emeryville Police Dept. There is a man who uses our private parking lot to park his blue nissan altima that has many windows missing and uses duct tape to hold the rear bumper in place. The car is overflowing with trash and is a nuisance not only on the eyes, but to our groundwater and the San Francisco Bay, which is right nearby. I recently had back surgery so I cannot bend over and pick up his trash every time he shows up, otherwise I would. Please help all of us and stop this illegal dumping.

There is a homeless man who has recently set up his tent along 65th street. He moved his tent to the other side of the driveway behind public storage but has already left a pile of trash and a wooden pallet in the corner, along 65th street and today was urinating on the public storage wall.

Man, usually wearing puffy blue coat and or eye glasses. Likes to use a "ball launcher" to throw a ball for his large dog to chase across the entirety of Christie Park. Usually there in the evening 6-8pm. I see him and his dog here often.

There are signs posted stating "dogs in the dog park only".

Usually I don't mind and happily walk by the fellow. Unfortunately on the evening of 5/30/2019 this man decided to use his ball launcher to launch the ball directly at me as I walked on the other side of the park. The ball landed several feet to my right and his large dog came running at me full speed. As I was the only other person around, it seemed overtly rude and aggressive.

As I was passing him on my way back to my apartment. I asked in a neutral and friendly tone. If he had seen the notice regarding dogs.

In response he angrily accosted me. Threw some epithets and curse words my way, and informed me that he had a PhD. Always nice to meet the neighbors.

Would like to see better signage and enforcement of leash law. Too many people living around here for large dogs to be running at large in such a small park. Especially those with such questionable owners.

    Stay Classy E'ville!

New tenant right by public storage and Xpressions parking lot. The bigger camp is crowded and you can see open fire cooking by the sidewalk. This is a safety and fire hazard. Is the city of Emeryville doing anything??

Full horn , non stop for the entire length of Emeryville. The horn has woke me up each time and in sure thousands of others. I suspect its malicious as there is no reasonable need to use the horn in this way. Please investigate.

Tent was setup today outside the Public Storage building on the grass verge. Looks like its being used as a dumping area for stolen goods from the homeless encampment on shellmound.

Please would you remove this immediately so this problem of tents on public spaces gets worse.

Lately there has been an increase in parked cars at the carpool loading area. It is causing the drivers to stop in the middle of the road to pick up passengers rather than along the sidewalk. The sign at the loading area states No Parking from 7am to 10am. Cars are also parking in the red zone along this area.

Where are the dogs allowed and not allowed at Christie Ave Park? I was there first day with my grandchildren, and for every day until last Sunday 11-3-18,many dogs frequent with owners walking around where children play, some are unleashed on open park lawn where we were playing ball, @#$% all over the plant area where children space seems to be. Please post signs. I felt unsafe taking pics and had my hands full with my 2 and 4 year old grandchildren. I think it is best to set a precedence for the rules. Many dog owners look at their pets as children. There were so many dogs all over the entire area, more than children on the days we were there. What are the health concerns for children when playing as dogs urinate and @#$% on grass and around playground area?

There is a homeless man who has been sleeping in the park for well over a month now at one of the benches closest to the kids playground. He leaves food trash that attracts rats and will often smoke even when children and families are nearby.

Interaction between unleashed large dogs and children happening daily in the playground side of the park.

Either the grass area should be converted into a dog park which effectively what it is used for every day or the playground should be fenced around.

It is just a matter of time before a child gets bitten or tackled.
