Description
haight ave at 8th has become even worse because of speeders than in the past 20+ years. people on 8th traveling north and south, turn really fast on to our block and fly down the street. now, not only are there fast cars but they are also one's with loud mufflers and engines. there is no regard to all the kids on our street who try to cross the street. it is frightening and illegal. the traffic division set us up with a big flashing sign that showed travelers' their speed and that helped a little but nothing else was ever done to stop the speeders. i spend a bit of time in my front garden and i'm pretty shocked at how many cars are driving well over 25 down our street.
