Description

This morning someone absconded with our blue New Haven trash bin! Hard to believe I know but it was there at 7:30 am and then gone by 11:00. Any suggestions on how to get a new trash bin?

We are moving your toter request to our internal work order system where we have a wait list since summer. In the meantime you can put your trash in a plastic bag and, if worried about animals tearing at the bag, put a little smelly substance (ie bleach) on the inside of the bag. Thanks for reporting.

Whoops! Sorry thought it was your brown trash toter you needed. You are requesting your blue recycling toter. Unfortunately we have a wait list for those as well. In meantime you can put your recyclables in a box and the crew will empty them.

Yes it is the BLUE recycling bin we need so I appreciate being put on the wait list! Is there a market out there for stolen recycling bins????

You'd have to ask people taking them. Do know that pre-covid we were able to recycle ones that Redemption Centers (bottles/stores/metal companies) would call us to pick back up. We could clean them out and put them back in the toter "pool" to be recycled. Not happening these days.
