I use a walker to get around and it's really hard to get through this gate, it would be great if I had easier access to the park.

This gate is difficult to open and close when I have strollers and allows the kids to run out of the park unattended.

I’ve seen several panicked parents chase after their toddlers who were running out of the gate towards the street. It’s really unsafe that the gate won’t close. A user-friendly gate that closes would be so appreciated!

This gate opens only a little bit. This is the closest gate to my house, but I often pass it up because when I'm carrying baby on my hip and usually a bag with our lunches and park blanket in the other hand and a backpack/diaperbag on back...I'm too big to comfortably get through with all my kid stuff.

Baby is also a fan of trying to exit and this gate doesn't shut easily.

Lastly, in October I fell on the sidewalk outside the park, onto my baby. Several nannies and parkgoers came rushing to our aid, but my friend who was unfamiliar with the park and the funky gate situation was one of the last to get to us because she got hung up over there.

We take our three young kids to Dover Park often. One of them is 2 years old. The extra-large gate (designed for what seems like vehicles) is a major hazard, especially since it leads directly to a busy street. People leave the gate open, and our toddler has run out before. Please replace the large, awkward vehicle-sized gate with a proper door/gate for people to pass through.

It is ver dangerous and scary that the gate to Dover Street park doesn’t work. My toddler tries to run out of the park everyday. Because the gate doesn’t close, she is sometimes able to run out. Thankfully we stop her before she gets into the street. We are very worried for her safety. Please fix the gate.

A working gate is essential for the safety of toddlers in a playground - especially here, where the street is just feet from the gate.
