You know what? I could do that, but I thought the whole point of SeeClickFix was to be able to report things online and have them addressed. If that's not the case, certainly I will check out CallThePolice.com.

If it is a safety issue phone, post and mention that the police were called in the post.. The city does not monitor this site every minute of the day. Some departments hardly ever. The fastest way to alert the city is still the good old reliable phone. As I mention in other posts if this keeps up someone is going to report a house fire on this site instead of using the phone.

Thanks XYZ, I have seen your other posts to this effect. I am fully aware that the city does not monitor this site every minute of the day. My point is, however, that it works very well for certain neighborhoods but not others, so let's work to improve the site. I sincerely doubt that anyone would report a house fire on SeeClickFix instead of having the common sense to use the phone. So thank you again for your time and insights, but I'd really like to hear from others at this point regarding ways to improve the website.

The city does not own this site.If you want to improve it you have to enforce away that all city department monitors it every minute of the day, Good luck. It is simple you can not beat the phone and if it was invented in the last ten years people would be saying how wonderful it is and what an improvement it is over texiting and emailing.
As far as someone not using this site to report a house fire do not be too surprise should it happen.. I have seen posts reporting a chemical spill, natural gas odor, and an alarm.
Overgrown weeds on Downing that make it impossible to see oncoming traffic is asfety issue. I hope you call the police at 203 946-6316

One other thing if you are going to use your first mane for posts like this fine but in other matters I do not think it is a good idea.
