Vehicle did NOT crash. It was parked legally when a drunk driver smashed into it, forcing it onto the curb and into the sign. Police were called and this is an open investigation. I witnessed the drunk driver pull away and drive off after hearing the crash. The owner of this car is not responsible. Please don't make their lives more difficult by making unfounded assumptions based on limited information.

Is there scientific proof that the driver was under the influence or is it just an assumption?

Let's start with the fact they smashed into the car and then drove away. After smashing into the car, the driver pulled up onto a grassy area, backed up over the curb, tried to pull out again, and hit the curb again. After finally making it onto the street, they swerved into the wrong lane, overcompensated when swerving back, ran a stop sign, and then swerved out onto the median curb on Hillsborough Street, then went up on the curb again after entering the traffic circle on Morgan Street. And all this was on a flat tire caused by the initial collision. So yeah...either the worst driver in the world or severely impaired. A friend got all this on video too that he turned over to the police.
