  There has never been a crosswalk here (at least not in the past 10-15 years) but there absolutely should be one. There is a pedestrian-actuated walk signal but no crosswalk, which is hugely problematic. Also a HUGE problem is that the traffic signal only stops traffic on 29th Street when the walk sign is on--there is no light for the Grocery Outlet parking lot or the vehicle exit from the new Anton Edge building at 295 29th. So pedestrians get a green walk signal that tells them that is safe to cross, but drivers do not get a red light to warn them to stop. (Yes, they should ideally be looking before turning onto 29th, but the reality is that this often doesn't happen.) Please make this a four-way light or, at a minimum, add a stop sign for the cross traffic. This is especially a concern for the traffic coming out of the Anton Edge driveway; these cars are turning right directly into the pedestrian crossing while the walk sign is on.

  There was a crossing when I lived there 2 years ago. It wasn't a dedicated crossing as such but there were some visible white lines. You are right that traffic coming out of Grocery Outlet and even cars coming down/up 29th don't stop even when the light is red. Now the new apartments are there it needs a proper crossing and lights

  @Need Sleep, I was pretty sure there had been lines there too before the street was repaved last year--but Google Street View has photos going back 12 years that confirmed there was no marked crosswalk anytime in there, only the traffic limit lines. Why they didn't mark the crosswalk when the pedestrian signal was installed is beyond me.

  Strange I thought there were some lines but they weren't very clear. Maybe I just assumed they were there since they obviously should have been. That whole situation with building those new apartments on 29th were a nightmare and it's not surprising that nothing has been done to ensure that pedestrians can safely cross
