This light allows eastbound traffic on Westwood to get a green light while westbound traffic does not. This creates confusion for east bound traffic turning left onto US301, as they sit waiting for the westbound traffic to cross through the intersection (which they cannot do due to having a red light).
The light still is not working properly. If a westbound car doesn't get to the light before it turns green for the eastbound traffic. It does not turn green for the westbound. They miss a green light cycle.
10-10-11 I have spoken with the tech in regards to this request and it has been confirmed completed and working properly , this request has been closed.
This issue is not resolved, as it occurred twice since I received an e-mail indicating it had been resolved, the most recent occurrence today. The issue is for west-bound traffic, not east-bound as the above heading indicates, so perhaps that is why it is believed to have been resolved. The problem is detailed in the comment I posted below under TP Holtz.
It is not working.
West bound traffic will still have a red light while the east bound has a green light if NO west bound car has approached between cycles.
There is not a lamp out. It remains red.
I saw the same problem happen 10 minutes ago. It has either not been fixed OR it was fixed and the same problem is happening. I believe it is the former, rather than the latter of the two.
As far as i can tell the intersection is functioning properly. The intersection is supposed to to function the way you have described it.
"If a westbound car doesn't get to the light before it turns green for the eastbound traffic. It does not turn green for the westbound. They miss a green light cycle."
If you want to meet me one day at the intersection I can show the detection and timing pattern in the box. Thanks.
