Thank you for reporting the flooding concern. The Town's stormwater systems are typically designed to handle 25-year storm events. The rain event on 7/8/22 exceeded the capacity of the storm sewer system causing stormwater to back up in the street. This occurred at several locations throughout Town. We appreciate your reporting of the flooding, and we will note the occurrence for our future stormwater plans. Our Public Works crews will be inspecting the stormwater infrastructure to ensure there are no deficiencies in the existing system.
