  Emergency situation. The guardrail protecting the pedestrian path on the west side of Mountain Blvd near El Caminito is severely damaged and now completely blocks the path. This is in addition to the section that fell over earlier this year. Joaquin Miller Elementary and Montera Middle School start in 3 weeks. Parents, children, and the public depend on this path to safely walk to school, Montclair Village, for exercise, or to visit neighbors.

  Please get this fixed. I Walk and run in this area a lot and it’s dangerous now. With the guard rail needing repair. School is starting soon so let’s keep our kids safe as the wal to and from school. Let’s not put kids in danger!!

  School children should have safe pathways to school. A curbed sidewalk route along Mountain Blvd from Joaquin Miller to the two public schools should be installed and maintained by the City. In the meantime fix the guardrail before classes start!
