The union teachers and administrators have very poor communications skills, and then they wonder why the kids can't speak or write English......duh !!

That sign appears to be written in the vernacular; whomever wrote it probably thought that it was correct - which in itself is telling about the state of public education in New Haven...

In fairness to the principal, she is aware of the problem, but she cannot get anyone from school system to correct the problem.

There should be a comma after the word hey--or you could use an exclamation point. Those who cast stones . . .

There is always some sort of excuse for this type of action relating to a NHPS. Vernacular has its place, signage on a school posted for the intended population perpetuates lazy grammar and syntax.

It still goes back to teachers, parents, school administrators , and an entire community that does not see the importance of learning the English language correctly.
They wonder why jobs are scarce for the young adults who are products of this system...well, there's the answer.

Pretty sad. Have no teachers noticed this? It shouldn't take much to just put up corrected signs.

Simply appalling.

New York City corrected a spelling error in front of a school... any update on these signs?
