As you posted this is illegal dumping so why should our tax dollars go to clean it up. They can haul it to the dump they can call for bulky waste pick up. Public works have better thing to do than pick up lazy peoples crap at our expense.

Ok, so somebody is mad at me because I made the determination that this junk is probably not going anywhere and somebody needs to pick it up. Luckily, in our society, we have a semi-functioning system that can address this need. If you're truly furious about your tax dollars going down a rat hole show up and talk to these people, the address is in the post.

Thank you for reporting. If directed at me I am not mad or furious with you. I am a keep Oakland Beautiful volunteer and an avid SCF user. What I take issue with is people who litter and illegally dump with the expectation that is now no longer there responsibility. As far contacting the illegal dumpers that is the responsibility the City of Oakland law crops in the district attorney's office but only if someone is will to file a complaint. The other approach is to nicely inform them what they are doing is a violation and to please depose of there property in the correct manner.

Good news, I put a notice on the pile of junk yesterday (which I'm not fully comfortable doing in my neighborhood) and today it was gone. Basic gist, "please properly dispose of or I will be forced to report it to an agency that may come down with a fine."
