Inoperative Fire Hydrant - the Fire Department was notified of the fire hydrant leaking two weeks ago and was taped with a burlap sack over it. When will it be repaired is the issue? A fire safety issue for the entire block.
**Notified the assistant engineer for the City of New Haven on January 8, 2015

**Notified the office of the Regional Water Authority regarding fire hydrant replacement on Dec. 8, 2014, and was told to contact the City of New Haven Engineering Office.

FD checked this hydrant and do to its installation needs to be replaced by the RWA and they have been notified.

Remember the house fire at the end of Elizabeth Street and the broken hydrant. The only working fire hydrant was this one that was replaced. Please respond quicker in the future to residents concerns for their quality of life. Thank you
