This issue continues to be an ongoing problem with cars parked in no-parking zone. Issuing a few tickets every day for a few weeks would likely take care of the problem - plus, it would bring in revenue for the city.

Issue is still a problem every time I drive down this section of Ontario Street.

Well, I just drove down Ontario Street - and as usual, cars parked in the no-parking zone. Guess the Albany police are not interesting in generating some revenue by issuing tickets there.

I'm trying to figure out what Albany police do. I live on Washington Park, which is now the new Nascar Road Course in NYS. Cars don't stop for people in the crosswalk (state law) with a cruiser sitting right there in the park and people are smoking weed in the open, like it's been legalized, with cops riding bikes by and doing nothing. Just don't know.

Dear "fed-up neighbor:" Cops will often "turn a blind eye" to any situation that is too politically volatile for them. Do you remember the "ghost parking tickets" scandal of 10 or so years ago? That is just one example.

@fed-up neighbor - I've seen it all in my neighborhood. Believe me. Drugs right out in the open. Then there is selective enforcement with parking tickets and such. Already shoveled my walk twice since last storm and the city completely plows it in a week after the storm. Meanwhile, a car parked right in front of a no parking sign (Monday night's) for 2 weeks and snow and ice piled up. No ticket. Just amazing. I got a ticket here before when parking completely legally. This is Albany, NY.

My comment was clean and on topic. Sad that this is how we deal on this site. But screenshots and social media are always and alternative to expose corruption.

well parking and speeding through the park is 2 different things, we have a parking enforcement that should take care of the parking issues on Ontario, speeding through the park which I walk every day should be addressed, its a speedway and a shortcut around town and it does not matter that the signs say yield to pedestrians, you can stand at the crosswalk and cars will just zip by. and I have seen at least 2 memorials for people that were killed in the last 2 years,,,,, way 2 many
