Description
The metal header at the top of the sewer has been missing since LAST year! The storm drain is on the corner of Kneeland Rd. and Ft. Hale Rd. on the "high" side of the street. At one point someone put a saw horse there, but now, even that is gone! I did report this to the 311 site for the City of New Haven, but you can see where that got me!

Can you describe the problem you were having with the site at the time?
Thanks,
Ben

You can click on the edit link in the email and change the notification timing if you would like. When you comment the city is notified as well.
Thanks,
Ben

Ben-
Do you REALLY believe the city is even interested in this? Maybe if I had some kind of ID card issued to me because I couldn't get a legitimate ID, then maybe they would look into the matter.
You just don't expect anything to be done for someone who pays his taxes on time, doesn't get parking tickets, and registers his cars in the right state, with the right plates. Come on now. You're living in a DREAM world!
I know when you send me e-mail, it lists "days" that the problem has appeared. In reality, it is more like YEARS! Maybe days for your site, but I notified the city a LONG time ago before your site was "born"!
Thanks anyway for the advice. Maybe I should change the notification timing to next YEAR!

I will forward this complaint to public works.

Thanks Rafael. I'm sure you're just wasting your time, but we'll see what happens as the MONTHS go by. They'll say they have NO money to fix it! How did the header even disappear in the first place? I'm sure no one stole it. What value is it? Maybe Schvione pays $$$ for sewer headers?
It's a mystery for sure. If I get down the corner again, I'll take an updated photo which I'm sure will look JUST like the one above!

MIRACLES never cease!!! Just saw that the sewer header on the corner of Kneeland Rd. and Ft. Hale Rd. has FINALLY been fixed! Only took about 2 years or so, but it's all taken care of now. I guess it is true that the squeeky wheel does get the grease. One more problem solved! Thanks.
NOW, if we can get that "plate finder" guy to drive through the East Shore Parking lots on the weekends maybe we can find some more people who owe taxes or don't have their cars registered in CT. I didn't know that there were so many people from out of state who come to use the facilities on the East SHore. Looks like a popular destination for "tourists"!
