It would be disappointing if this is intended to be a dog run.

There are two little parklets. The photo shows the largest one. I think the gravel is to avoid any kind of landscaping maintenance. But, yes, dogs will use them.

This area is not maintained by the Division of Park Maintenance. I will direct this to the Resident Response Center.

At a time when the City is encouraging green spaces and more trees, it really doesn't make sense to remove anything green and replace it with gravel. These little parklets are glorified dog runs. It would be nice if the City, together with The Pier apartments, got together to create something nicer and greener.

This is not park property. This is private property.

Dies the City have no say when an owner converts a small grass park to gravel?

I do not believe we can tell a property owner what they can do outside of an agreement made with the City in exchange for variances on a construction project or if it is a non-permeable surface.
