there also appears to be several tent like structures in the back yard, with people living in them.

This has been an ongoing problem for over a year and nothing has ever been done to it. They often leave abandoned mattresses and other debris in the alley outside the garage too. Recently, there have been several loud arguments between the person living in the garage and others who park their vehicles in the middle of the alley to yell at one another.

these people are also feeding the swarm of alley cats that infest my back yard! they have solicited my family when we are working in our garage by the alley. We are concerned being new in the neighborhood with theft. the cats have become a huge concern since they have been using my back yard as a litter box and it stinks!

I agree! These people leave food out for them and put the food up against my fence and the cats hang out in my yard because of it. They pee and poo all over the yard and even on the roof of our garage! It's awful but we can't get rid of them as long as the garage people keep leaving food out for them.

I've also seen them going through our trash cans after we take our trash out to the alley and taking things out. It's concerning.

The issue with the cats still persists. Someone on oxygen is still living in the garage, paramedics were dispatched about a month back...to the garage. I saw a neighbor with a bulk sized bag of cat food feeding the cats, many of them kittens.

Have you called the police dept about these issues? I would be supermad if I were you if it has taken so long to get this resolved.
