Freely growing prohibited & invasive plant (japanese knotweed). This plant is in the MA prohibited plants list (https://www.mass.gov/service-details/massachusetts-prohibited-plant-list). It should be controlled (not just cut down) to prevent this spreading and causing structural damage to roads and pavements.
