Description

The owners of 171 and 175 Chestnut St apartment buildings have a fence behind the building that runs along the sidewalk of St. John Connector. They never maintain the vegetation the grows on/through the fence and there are large thorny weeds and vines that grow all over the fence and sidewalk that scratch pedestrians and catch on their clothes/pet's fur. This vegetation originates on the other side of the fence, on the property of 171 and 175 Chestnut.

Further, they never clear leaves/debris from the sidewalk, letting it pile along the fence so that the sidewalk is effectively only half as wide even before accounting for the constantly overgrown plants and shoulder-height weeds.

also asked...
Q. Is the problem blight (trash, etc) outside, or is it a problem with the building (illegal use, housing code violation, etc)?
A. Outside Blight
