Thanks for the informative response. Unfortunately, I just rode through there again this morning and it is no WORSE. The sign has been moved upstream (still blocking the bike lane but that might simply be necessary). But now the dangerous plate IS COMPLETELY UNMARKED. Right in the merge zone of two lanes of traffic cyclists are faced with crashing into the edge of it or swerving into traffic. AT A MINIUMUM there should be a cone on it or be painted brightly. Dark metal and asphalt in the shadows while negotiating traffic is a hazard
