In addition to the homeless encampments, the homeless people cause a lot of problems on trash day. Many of us put our trash out the night before pick up day. During the night and on trash day you can see and hear them going through the trash. By their actions, trash is often let on the street (not the way we left it). They collect so much trash they have bikes loaded full of bags. These bikes are often parked at the side of my street (Monterey Peninsula Dr.) while they are in search of more trash. One day I saw a homeless man stop under a tree across from my house (Monterey Peninsula Dr. & Knollwood Dr.). He was resting shirtless and drinking a beer. That specific home has 5 minor children in residence. I called the sheriff but by the time they arrive that person moved on. There are abandon shopping carts frequently on Serfas Club and Monterey Peninsula Dr. I know that homelessness is a complicated issue, but I don't want them in my neighborhood or at the gold course.
