We still have to look both ways even on a one-way street, because bicycles will come speeding along going the wrong way.

I now need to look over my shoulder often when walking on SIDEWALKS after several near misses by cyclists recently. I've been passed on the right, squeezed off the sidewalk by people riding two abreast and been clipped by a cyclist as I made a turn to cross the street. Expecting inexperienced cyclists to follow rules of the road they don't even know is a recipe for disaster for pedestrians! The city council has created a class of disrespectful, dangerous and often uninsured people on wheels making even the sidewalks a flashpoint for those of us on foot.

Original poster here -- Just want to clarify the ask for this ticket is more signage, both on the blacktop (arrow for direction of traffic) and Wrong Way signage. While I don't disagree about some of the bike comments, that's less my concern for this ask. Thanks.

Sorry, no intent to hijack your thread! All these issues are inter-related and are endemic of the city not listening to or responding to resident's growing concerns with traffic and lack of enforcement. For the enormous money the city spends we need to DEMAND fairness for ALL modes of transport and safety. All neighborhoods deserve a safe and healthier environment, which seems to have been sacrificed to special interests.

Now the tenth person to come down the wrong way against traffic realizes, goes to turn around and smashes into my neighbors car. HELLOOOOO?
