I allege that entire crew are illegal aliens, and crooked contractor perpetrates tax fraud by not paying payroll taxes. This is rampant in construction business in Jersey City, with full knowledge and approval of Fulop.

I request City audits crooked contractor for legality of employment of illegal aliens. Public subsidy is a discretionary act, thus City can and must enforce prohibition of employment of illegal aliens when subsidizes at the expense of local citizens.

They have a permit and that permit has been good this whole time. UCC code does not apply to road openings or traffic permits. We are simply making sure they are adhering to all of the tenants of the permit.

UCC applies also when crooked contractor illegally closes sidewalk as part of a construction. End of story. Begin enforcing the existing laws!!

You clearly have no idea what Uniform Construction Code laws are in New Jersey. You really should take a class. As a contractor, you are expected to know the law. I had to get a license just to be able to issue permits. You seem to think the codes mean something different. That's a tad bit scary.

I know you like to think this and you feel it gives you the right to boss people around and pretend you understand the laws. However, this is not the way it works and no one should be treating anyone like crap. We live in a democratic republic. The residents of Jersey City elect a representative and then put their faith in that representative to hire knowledgeable and competent people. Most employees work under the Mayor and that is the person they work for. If you do not like it, you are free to run or convince the majority of your fellow citizens to elect the person you feel would better serve your personal purposes.

Working for the City is a choice i made as a long time resident and community activist. I work with the citizens to help resolve issues because that makes for a much better City. You aren't working with anyone. You are using every issue you see to insert yourself and demand people be fired and fines be issued. You demand that contractors be black listed just because you feel they should, even if you have no knowledge of the laws and process. I am not asking you for star from heaven. I am not bossing you around. You get paid for serving us. Yes, I am fed up Meyer faking 95% inspections. That is right. Almomst all of them are fraud, including criminal asbestos dumping time and again.

Site was inspected and everything is in order. All permits are active and being adhered to. The fire division inspected as well and determined the required equipment that is on the sidewalk, must remain outside the dwelling while in use. The appropriate amount of space is available to the public and determined to be safe.

Althea, it doe not work that way. If crooked contractor cannot store private equipment on private property, then they are in wrong line of business. Fire division has no authority to authorize private storage on public sidewalk regardless of amount of space. Whole sidewalk must be clear.
