I recently researched how to get in touch with the people heading up what is called the "West River Project" I expressed concerns over the traffic/safety issues and here is his repsonse:
Ms. Terry:
The project staff is in receipt of your email, along with several others from Harbour Landing concerning the access restrictions to Sea Street, signing, signalization and the localized traffic back-ups in your neighborhood. The Department is reviewing your concerns and is taking steps to decrease the impacts while more permanent measures are being discussed and we will continue to make improvements to the signal timing to minimize traffic tie-ups during active construction.
Thank you for your patience and please feel free to contact me if you have further questions.

Apparently their idea of responding to traffic concerns is to post detour signs? How about putting back the sign that said NO THRU trucks..that would be a start. How about doing a real traffic impact study for the residential neighborhood this project is destroying? How about actually having police on duty ticketing all the people making illegal turns and illegal u-turns?
here is the link to the project's home page with contact info...I encourage everyone to contact them with your concerns.
