Im not defending the city, Im "Fed Up" with the citizens that want a Nanny State for a government. Im having trouble understanding, if you dont run over the curbs, then its not the curbs chewing your tires up... if youre not running over the curbs then I guess I shouldve been more "Politically correct" and stated you must be rubbing against the crumbling curb. What I know is these curbs regardless of condition do not grow legs and move in the path of your tires. If there are chunks of a curb missing, or broken off... stop being lazy and pick it up. Place it in your garbage can. Of all the potential problems in this city, many that are of much higher importance at the moment than your precious curbs... there are people who have there houses flood with sewage because the sewer pipes are over 100 years old. But lets put that on hold because you dont know how to park and need some curbs..... smh
If you would go through the effort to remove the pieces and place them somewhere else you'd already be solving your own problem ... So I'm alright with that ... Put them right where I drive ... I'm capable of turning out of the way
Or instead of going through all of that or even waiting for the city to clean it up how about we just clear the debris ourselves ... I could meet you there Saturday morning and we could get it cleaned up
My father went through the effort of removing the pieces for umpteen years as more and more fell apart. He begged the city for about as long to repair or replace the curbs. Now I've inherited the problem and I fail to understand why there's money for other projects like $100,000 electronic signs and bicycle bridges, etc. but not to fix the existing infrastructure....but if you want to help clean up the debris,I appreciate the offer. Oh,and just for the record,I've never run over them.
I'll come by and give a hand with it Saturday ... I'm around the corner on the 1400 block of Brown
I'm sure something could be done as a repair ... If the city refuses to do anything about it they can't rightly get upset if we solve the problem instead

I'm not an official driving instructor but I could show you how to stay on the roadway as opposed to riding the curbs. Just let me know.
