This is a tricky one. It looks as if the items are on private property, in which case I cannot have anyone remove the items. Code enforcement may need to open a case here to get this problem fixed on private property. I can drive by to check out the items abandoned, and see if Public Works can help. Gallagher and Lindsay manage the property. How is this delay in repair safe for immediate neighbors? What's more the next door neighbor is an elder blind woman. This is unacceptable.

Why isn't this considered a fire hazard? Someone recently set a dried out christmas tree on fire nearby. No shortage of people who would love to take a match to this. How many fires have there been in the immediate neighborhood in recent months? An elderly blind woman living next door to this? Is the fire department aware of the situation? A reasonable person would assume that the City make removal of the hazard a priority.

CITY MUST ENFORCE STANDARDS for renter. I am sure this renter is afraid to confront this landlord. Why? Because she/he has nowhere else to rent that is affordable. I am a neutral third party but this is my neighborhood. This is NOT OKAY for Gallagher and Lindsay to dump these ruined items outside the neighbor's unit. It is NOT OKAY for the burned out unit to remain in disrepair like this. This is substandard SLUM LORDING and I guarantee the renter is paying a lot of money to live there!
