(posted on behalf of Assistant Chief Luke Williams, SPPD) I would like to thank you for your concern of SeeClickFix email #2256219, dated February 23, 2016, regarding the vacant house located at 3000 21 Ave South. Your concerns were communicated with our Community Liaison Officers.
The officers recently checked the property and did not see evidence of any activity occurring inside the residence. The officers noticed that all of the exterior windows and doors were secure except for one window on the westside of the property. The window appeared to have been smashed out at some point but it did not look like entry was gained into the residence. A thorough inspection of the property shows no evidence of drug activity at this time. Officers made contact with a neighbor of the residence and requested that police be called if anyone is seen on the property. Officers will continue to monitor this location to address your concerns and ensure compliance.
Contact was made with the City of St. Petersburg Codes Department in reference to the condition of the property. Codes advised that there are several open cases on the property. Officers advised them of the open window and they advised that a securing case would be started on this date (2/25/2016) as well.
If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact the Community Liaison Sergeant Patricia Houston at (727) 892-5941. Code Enforcement can be reached at 893-7373.
Thank you for bringing this concern to the attention of the St. Petersburg Police Department.
Sincerely,
Luke C. Williams
