s using turn-out area from neighborhoods as passing lanes on Mt. Vernon. The turn out area is form residents to turn in or out of their street off Mt. Vernon. However, when someone stops an waits for traffic to clear, people start driving around them encroaching into this area. I have had three close calls in the past year, the problem is getting worse. We need better strips on the road and a big sign saying NO PASSING to your Right. To really fix this issue, the turn outs should just be removed and just have people make a sharp right or left turn.
