I recently received a parking ticket while parked on the 1400 block of West Cary Street. I got this ticket as the NO PARKING SIGNS that are enforced on THURSDAYS during a certain time period are blocked because trees have overtaken the signs. I have called the city to report this and they stated it would be taken care of yet the trees are still blocking all the signs on the LEFT side of the road. If people wanted to challenge their parking tickets in this area they have a pretty good chance of winning the argument in court since 3 of the 4 signs in the area are covered by foliage.
