I dont think thw damage was caused by the construction equipment since they were not driving on the road much. I also thought it was nice that the potholes slowed people down in front of the school. People generally drive extremely fast down springside.

Keith, people drive extremely fast down every road. That's not an excuse for not fixing a road.
In fact I live on a road in west hills that people cut through often at 70 MPH. However, its a poor neighborhood so it will never get traffic calming measure.

For the school though proper signage, including a digital speed sign, and traffic calming measures would be more appropriate then leaving a road with dangerous pot holes that are destroying vehicles that have to drive down the road everyday. Some of the damage is certainly caused by the heavy machinery and trucks delivering materials. Hence, why most of these school project include fixing the road at the end. This was a question if it was in the plan or not, since it did not show up on the summer project list.

We are closing older pothole issues in order to focus on current pothole issues. Many of the older issues were addressed through our Street Division but were never closed. Other issues reported in the "pothole category" are road conditions beyond an "immediate fix/patch. We've reviewed those locations and will consider them in our paving season. Thanks.
