I have another post on the same issue from 1/31/13 "Intersections blocked on 1st Street heading to I-80 East/Bay Bridge" and today someone else posted 3/20/13 "Repeated Traffic Violations: obstructed intersections".
NYC has a good solution. We have traffic directors at a few of these intersections who are not effective. This is my neighborhood! Please, let's put people who can ticket in these intersections to let commuters know that it's not acceptable to block traffic and sit in the intersection!
This obstruction occurs in intersections in the afternoon all along 1st street between Howard to the Bay Bridge entrance, and surrounding streets from 2nd street along Folsom, Harrison, Howard and by South Park. And all up 3rd street as well.
