Being human and sometimes making inadvertent mistakes seems to be a rather loose statement coming from the Police Captain re : a violation !
Albeit a minor one -it could however caused a pedestrian who was following the guidelines to be injured .
The fact that the truck was very clearly marked City of Malden -this blatant disregard was important to report .

I would imagine & certainly hope if stopped for a violation -an excuse such as being human and sometimes making inadvertentt mistakes

No, I never stated it was acceptable nor did I state that the individual wouldn't receive a citation for the violation. That is why I left my contact information for follow up enforcement. I see our police officers stopping motorists frequently Unfortunately they can't be everywhere at once. I would call the officer that left his number rather than treat this as a blog. This is a very effective way for us to voice concerns and I would hate to see this site filled with arguments. A number was provided and that is a quick and fair response.
