This is the reason why our neighborhood remains as a "LESS than desireable" place to live. Time for the TRASH to be removed. This INCLUDES the "TRASH" that lives there.

This situation with Illegal Dumping and Trash Accumulation at 2814 Barton Avenue was handled by Richmond Code Enforcement this summer and they actually hired a contractor to clean/clear/abate this property as of 9/20/2012 (CE-20020855544 / SCF#210519) Currently this has been resubmitted to Richmond Code using Richmond's High Priority Category "Illegal Dumping" via SeeClickFix#301028 so Code Enforcement can inspect this property again for this report today

did a walk about tonight. With the exception of the large bulky items, the tenants have failed yet again to pick up the misc debris. 12 - 20 glass bottles, shoes, clothing etc. Every week!!

This weekend, Karen, Buster, and Peter have done a super-clean of this alley for 2600 through 2900 blocks, removing 2390 lbs of bulk debris and trash, and this is the only property that has not been cleaned in the 2800 block of the alley. I have cleaned this property numerous times and I am done dealing with it. I expect code enforcement to cite them and ticket them for dumping this trash in the alley. The bulk was called in by us and picked up, and the tenants need to finish cleaning their mess. I am an eye witness to this dumping and available for testimony. They will continue to dump here until they are ticketed and until there is consequence for their actions.

Grand total weight of trash picked up and dumped this weekend is now at 3,360 pounds and counting. This total does not include the 50 gallon trash bags that were collected today.....yes, we did a great job! What a great team effort!!! Wonderful comments made by passersby and neighbors alike. This is how a community is to work for the common good of all..

The tenants actually came out to see what we were doing commented on how busy we looked and then went back into the house were they peeked from behind their blinds from the second floor. No offers to assist nor encourage. Unbelievable.
