Description

The traffic signal at Prospect St and Edwards Street skipped the green phase for Edwards westbound traffic around 12:57 today. The signal went through multiple vehicle and pedestrian phases as Edwards Street traffic backed up. This led to vehicles ignoring the malfunctioning light and making risky maneuvers. The signal reset itself and resumed working normally after 5-8 minutes, but the vehicle detector or algorithm may be malfunctioning.
