This area has everyone in the surrounding area very concerned. The trash and debris is beyond bad. But..another concern for the homeless and the neighborhood is where are they going to the bathroom?? My guess is in the bushes or on the street. This is a tremendous health hazard for all concerned.

They are going to the bathroom in the bushes, next to our house, up against the columns. It is unsanitary and unhealthy. Dangerous diseases can be spread because of these conditions.

Why is this closed? Absolutely nothing has been done. City of Houston, you are failing the tax paying property owners in this area.

Please take care of this issue. We paid a lot for our home and don't want people who are non tax payers to rule the roost. Unfair for those of us who live nearby.

This case shouldn't be closed until the problem is resolved. The COH owes its taxpayers that much. The Dept. of Sanitation needs to act on this, even if nobody else does. Humans are using city streets, owners' yards, as public toilets.

311-Please at least comment on why this case continues to be closed with no response as to how the case is being resolved. What is being done to remedy the situation? How may we, as citizens, tax-payers and voters be more proactive in solving the problem? Who else may we contact? Has the Mayor's Office been notified? Has TXDOT or the State Troopers been notified? What is the law with regard to living in the street? Please provide a response. As you can see this a great cause of concern for many. The lack of response is unacceptable.

I wrote a letter to the Mayor outlining all the issues discussed. I was not really expecting a response but I was hoping that our councilman or other local officials would at least be sensitive to the situation and provide some kind of viable options.

I called Council Member Boykins last week and left a message about our concerns. No one returned my call. I also spoke to an HPD officer who was parked on La Branch under the freeway earlier this week and was told that there was nothing he could do about it. I asked him to take our message back to someone who could. I feel completely helpless. This is happening right outside my door and it is heartbreaking to see fellow human beings living like this. I am concerned for everyone in our neighborhood. I am devastated. I simply cannot believe that no one will at least take a moment to reply and inform this community of how to help or what is being done by law inforcement and the city's health and human services departments to help.

Please do not say this issue is closed! If anything it has gotten worse.
