I don't even know why we file.complaints on here any longer for the NHPD to fix...they never do anything...people have had the SAME complaints on here for years and nothing... The policing is not happening and their emergency customer service has been horrible. And rude for even more years.....I don't know what else to say...when complaints are filed for other depts they are taken care of but honestly it just seems to me and many other owners in the area that to file an issue here tor the NHPD to solve is useless and these are important safety issues involved...RIDICULOUS!

They say they arent allowed to chase yet if they see someone they want they do chase them. They say to call it in yet nothing ever happens when we do. They say to tell them where they live when we all know the cops know these kids and where they live. They dont even wear masks anymore to hide their identities. Basically the children on the dirt bikes and quads own the cops. They taunt them on the street and online.

Fairhavener, what time did you call NHPD non-emergency? I will pull the recordings and address the unprofessional response. As the supervisor for NHPD dispatch I have no tolerance for this.

My apologies for the delayed response.

The recording of the event was located. The incident was entered in our system and dispatched appropriately.
As the caller was not pleased with the level of professionalism the call taker will be referred to the Q/A supervisor for a full review of the incident. During the review the Q/A supervisor will examine the recording in great detail, with the call taker, and ultimately coach the call taker on how to better handle such situations in the future.

I am closing dirt bike/ATV complaints that pre-date the conclusion of the police undercover operation (see www.newhavenindependent.org/index.php/archives/entry/9_arrested_in_dirt_bike_sting/). I do not expect the dirt bike/ATV issue to be completely solved, but it will be helpful to policing efforts to distinguish new reports from those before last month's operation. The operation was not a one-off effort to address this issue, and information reported in new issues is helpful.

Please open up new SCF issues as dirt bike/ATV issues re-occur.
