Any plans to fix this?

This intersection was studied recently for a protected-permissive left turn phase for vehicles on Martin Luther King Jr. turning left onto Blount Street. None of the proposed approaches met cross product threshold limits and there have been no left turning type crashes during the most recent 3 years of the type in which a protected left turn phase may address. The timings were reviewed and based on the current volumes during peak times of the day and the number of lanes, the intersection is operating efficiently. Based on this information, the addition of a protected turn movement is not recommended at this time.

Unfortunately, I doubt that study takes into account the number of people who avoid this left turn because it is such a nightmare. By now, anyone who needs to turn left routinely onto Blount St has found another way - including myself and people who work for me. I agree with the person who posted this request. We need a left turn signal onto Blount St.
