Description

I was walking the dog early morning, northbound traffic had already stopped to let me cross, and southbound traffic was hundreds of feet away, plenty of time to slow down if driving the speed limit. I was in plain view, and began to cross. Driver of southbound traffic then yelled at me out his window with expletives to NOT cross the street when oncoming traffic approaching. I recommended a permanent "Yield to Pedestrians" sign, and a ticketing speeding campaign for this area... Very unsafe for the large volume of pedestrians/MBTA/bus patrons/Cemetery visitors/Fells Reservations visitors who walk in this area.

Q. Please describe the traffic issue (i.e., speeding, traffic lights, etc.)
A. Frequent speeding, and vehicles NOT stopping for pedestrians on crosswalk on Winthrop st, near Arden and Playstead Rd. Please place permanent "Yield to Pedestrians" Sign, as this crosswalk is frequently used by bus patrons, walkers, etc.
