Vacant lot has become dangerous because the huge, dead and rotting red oak is dropping large limbs on the lot, into the street and onto neighboring lots. The lot is overgrown with weeds and littered with debris such as glass and pieces of wood, some with nails from the home demolition. This lot is not only unsightly but is a threat to cause bodily harm.

The dead red oak is absolutely dangerous. With any sort of wind big limbs have been falling in the street and across the street yards making everything look worse and worse. We do not park our cars under it at any time and it is a danger to anyone who might be walking on our street. Duke Energy has looked at the tree again and committed to take it down within six weeks.
We understand the City of Raleigh has their crews getting up leaves so they have to bid out the work to clean the lot. Meanwhile be cautious and look out for falling limbs when walking in this area of Oak Grove Circle.
