Went from PW to Police and then closed without crosswalks being painted and/or repainted. After two years, there still isn't a crosswalk. Part of the problem may be that often more than one department is responsible and each has a part to play. The issue gets closed by one department without the other completing the task. Tasks get reassigned without the person doing the reassignment checking for completion.
