This is disgusting! The city needs to start fining residents who trash the neighborhood like this.

Thank you for bringing this to the city's attention. We need to fight to keep our neighborhood beautiful and a great place to live in Albany. There are too many slumlords in Center Square who don't take care of their properties. As a tax payer and voter, I want the city to clean this stuff up!

If 306 State is the correct number - sometimes the GPS on this app isn't correct - then it's another absentee landlord situation in which the owners don't care/monitor the actions of their tenants.

I have walked by the parties taking place on those very chairs. They grill, drink, are loud and very messy. In general, this block seems to be getting worse and worse in terms of livability and litter. Is it legal to grill out on the sidewalk?

As far as i know it is not legal to grill on the sidewalk, or to drink publicly, or to allow your dogs to repeatedly excrete in the same spot without cleaning it, or to sit on your stoop until well after midnight drinking and smoking pot and playing the guitar and singing. It used to be a residential neighborhood, but not anymore. The city has made a clear decision to surrender our neighborhood. Not much left to do except move.

It's not legal to grill that close to the structure. It's also illegal to grill in the city right of way.
