Admin needs to follow up on every single open or acknowledged complain and confirm that there is a resolution.

What is the point of the Admin position if you are just a dispatcher? What is the point of the App?

I'm not a city insider- I have no idea who is processing these entries or why nothing appears to be happening with so many of them... But it's certainly disconcerting and reflects poorly on the City Administration

Still no resolution? Why was this assigned to traffic? Why do they care about pet waste?

This should go to the mayors office, so a real pet waste policy and PROCEDURE with teeth can be drafted. Every other major city in the United States has a functioning pet waste policy with a procedure for violations.

We have more than five universities in this area and a high Socio-economic level, why don’t we have a pet owners who clean up after themselves?

YES!!! Please! I have tried that number to report people too!

Yes, please. Many Albany neighborhoods having this issue.

And might I add... enforcement at the golf course is sorely needed as well. The giant sign posted about doggie rules is too often ignored.

The poop problem has not gone away. It has gotten worse! it’s a quality-of-life issue and greatly affects the environment and water sources. The city should not have signs up if they don’t plan to have any vehicle for dealing with it.

Take a look at cities like Portland and Seattle. More progressive western cities where sanitation is a priority. Maybe mirror programs that they use?

The City Of Albany could put a little effort into this. Determine who is responsible for enforcement? What phone number will you use, and who will process it? What is the expected timeframe? What is the process for enforcement? Will it be a fine on the first offense? Will that fine be connected to renewal of drivers license or something else that is important to give it weight?

Since animal control was moved to the police department, they have been depressingly ineffective. Not their own fault. We need to have a responsive, functioning and well-staffed animal control unit in the city.

Also a missed opportunity to enforce Dog licensing, and in turn collect fees and fines which could help the city’s coffers.
