Dangerous Intersection - There is a stop sign for cars on Hermosa, at the intersection of Hermosa and Florence. Almost no one obeys this stop sign, perhaps because it is new, was a yield sign until about a year ago. Traveling by car on Florence I have been nearly hit 5 times in the last two weeks. Parents dropping off kids at Hillside Elementary make it a busy intersection. Cars on Florence have the right of way, there is no stop sign in either direction on Florence because it is the main road. I suggest the City do two things: (1) REpaint STOP on the road in bright white letters, this is faded. Maybe Yellow and White to get attention. (2) install a FLASHING RED LIGHT on the stop sign so it can't be missed. The fact that it's near a school zone makes it doubly important. Children use the two cross walks at this intersection because the school is nearby and if something isn't done to enforce this stop soon there will be a tragedy, or there is going to be a bad collision there one day. Better yet, put a police car on that corner one morning and issue tickets to all the people in a hurry that don't stop.
