We have gone to the location and spoken to the manager. He was apologetic and assured me that, on the occasion that it does happen, it is usually a customer dropping off. They try to get to the offending cars as soon as they can. They have signs posted to not park on the sidewalk area. The police would be the ones to call as they can address it as it is happening.

this happens all the time, not once in a while... they have too many cars for the lot and they don't move the cars as soon as they can.. there is no point calling the police, I tried and they have more important issues to address than this.
the city should put some fix barrier so that they cannot leave the cars parked on the sidewalk and block it for the pedestrian.

We are going to continue to monitor and have assigned this to the Public Works Compliance Officer to follow up.

Besides, they NEVER shovel the sidewalk.

agreed... this is 2 fridays ago... there was space for parking a car in the lot but they left one on the sidewalk..
