Yes, the fire hydrant was replaced, but the concrete on the sidewalk still needs to be rebuild since the original concrete was all destroyed during repairs. I hope this will be done perhaps in the spring when the weather gets warmer. I will post a picture of the sidewalk tomorrow.

The repair of the fire hydrant seems to have stalled. A huge pipe is coming out of the ground and the fire hydrant is attached to that pipe roughly 2 feet above ground - an ugly looking repair which hopefully is only a temporary affair. More importantly, the sidewalk is still open and no concrete material has been applied to in order to level off the surface. Please let us know when the final repairs will be finished. It is now more than one month since the hydrant started leaking.

The weather turning warmer, perhaps it is time to replace the temporary asphalt surrounding the fire hydrant on the sidewalk with a permanent layer of concrete, restoring this way the original condition of the sidewalk before the repair was undertaken.

Approximate current time table is within the next month.

The issue is still open as the damaged sidewalk concrete was not repaired yet (as of June 3th). The emergency repair of the leak was done in January, but the concrete work was rescheduled for the spring/summer.
