Unfortunately the City does not have enough funding to repave all streets in poor condition. With limited funding, our response to resurfacing requests is limited to minor pavement and pothole repairs only. Our Street Maintenance Department will assess your street and determine whether temporary measures might be appropriate. Please understand that this work may be limited to pothole or other minor repairs, and that we have many similar requests. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The backlog of streets in Oakland needing pavement currently is $435 million and growing.

  I also reported same pothole last year. On Tunnel Road btw HWY 13 and Freeway Overpass. It is located near the Gateway Emergency Preparedness Exhibit Center.

  This is not located on Tunnel Road. The location is actually Caldecott Lane. My car hit it a few days ago and worried whether any damage occurred. Please fix it.

  Google maps shows it as Tunnel. Whether Caldecott or Tunnel, it’s big and potentially damaging to cars, motorcycles and certainly to cyclists. It’s the largest hole around, growing and needs repair.

  Please check the location of the picture. In the location where you put the arrow has two lanes of traffic that is striped. I noticed a large pothole that is east of this on the same road. However, the name changed and that pot hole is on Caldecott Lane (just before Kay Street Overcrossing).

  This isn’t just a pothole - it is a trench! Major traffic hazard with traffic swerving into the bike lane to avoid major damage to their car. Please fix this!!!!!

  Thanks for the report. Due to the danger to cyclists, this issue is being submitted to Oakland as a "TOP 10" for immediate attention under an agreement with the Bike East Bay Hazard Elimination program, and combined with SR #1168090 a more recent submission.

  The whole road is falling apart. The road needs complete resurfacing. The berms at the end of the road have fallen apart. As a result, the road is deteriorating.
