How is it the sidewalks look like even more of a disaster after recycling days? Walking along Prospect this morning all I saw was plastic containers and boxes all over the sidewalk around the recycling containers they were in last night. God forbid there is a windy day or something falls over when getting picked up. Why is it just left there? These sanitation workers don’t look like they’re doing anything. On top of that I saw at least 4 massive piles of dog poop. There’s only so much that can be enforced there but these conditions are disgusting. This picture is what it looked like almost every other house. It really adds up when it’s not just one property with a mess.

May I offer a suggestion for paper and such?
I usually put my paper recyclables in a cardboard box so this way everything can get thrown out. What I do before I set it out is put one strip of a heavy duty type of tape like duct tape across the top of the box in a cross pattern. It minimizes what blows out of the box by the wind and what gets dropped out of the box by the people collecting it. Just a suggestion.
