This motor-home was reported for street camping 1/25/2018, at that time it had no registration tags. I happened to see a Police Officer siting idle 2 blocks away and asked if he would go check it out. They were gone after that. Just got lucky finding an available Police Officer. As I have posed this question before - so one more time I will ask. Is there no recourse for repeat violators? How, if they have no registration are they allowed to just go on their way to annoy another neighborhood?

I don't see anything about abandoned in the report. With the generator running, people on board, it being reported as Homeless Encampment or Squatters and the previous comment I made about them trying to settle in on Branciforte St. Maybe make it Parking Enforcement issue if you choose to ignore the posting details.

I have to wonder if the lengthy process to remove illegal encampment would be shorter if this were the Hiddenbrook neighborhood.

City codes are pretty clear on motorhomes, 72 hours to park, but absolutely no camping or living on board. Perhaps you should call community services and explain the situation clearly. More than one person explained that it is not abandoned, but never the less, that is how CSS decided to handle it.

Left the 6th message with the City Manager's Office, can not get them to return a call or E-mail. Fortunately, I live a block and a half from City Hall - and will go today and knock on the door.....

Finally got to speak with the city manager‘s office, although nothing is going to happen right away they assured me I would be contacted soon..... going to give them the benefit of the doubt, and wait it out. Joanna Altman who is assistant to the city manager said they would be updating the Cit’s website to include information on illegal dumping and the changes that have been made lately.
